Our Site Plot

In a hole in the ground, there lived a Hobbit named Bilbo Baggins.
And like every other Hobbit, he was peaceful and home-loving.
No adventures ever, thank you very much.

Until one day a wizard showed up at his doorstep. And then everything changed.

With the wizard came the company of 13 dwarves, led by the proud, majestic Thorin Oakenshield.
And so begins a grand adventure.
The dwarves set off to reclaim the lost dwarven kingdom of Erebor from the greedy dragon Smaug,
taking the reluctant Bilbo Baggins along with them as their burglar.

Along the way they will encounter all manner of both friend and foe, from the Elves,
to the goblins under the Misty Mountains, to the orcs led by the formidable
Azog the Defiler, a sworn enemy of Thorin Oakenshield, who plans to wipe out the last of Durin's line.

But the dwarf company's quest is far from the only interesting thing going on in Middle Earth.
In an enchanted fortress known as Dol Guldur, a dark power has risen.
It calls itself "The Necromancer," and already it has begun to summon the evil dead and restore them to life.
The Elf dwelling of Greenwood has fallen under Dol Guldur's dark shadow,
giant spiders polluting its once vibrant forest, killing anything that moves.
Greenwood is no longer green, and the Elves have begun to call it Mirkwood.
They are on their guard, though they are not alone.

The White Council--the Elves of Lorien and Rivendell, as well as three Wizards--have heard the news from Dol Guldur.
They have made it their mission to find out what precisely is going on and put a
stop to it in order to protect all of Middle Earth from the evil power of the Necromancer.

But the orcs and evil ones who still dwell in Mordor can feel the power of darkness growing.
And with the knowledge that soon their Master will return to them, fully restored,
they have begun attacking the world of Men.
Gondor's people, as well as the Rohirrim, have gone on the defensive,
unhinged by these sudden orc attacks.
These two peoples must work together to solve their predicament.

Meanwhile in Laketown, the humans sense a change near the Lonely Mountain.
It has been a long time since Smaug the Dragon was last spotted.
People have begun disappearing. Witnesses speak only of seeing a large shadow
and hearing a terrifying roar. Is it mere coincidence?
The dragon come back? Or perhaps another force at work?

Who will you side with on this quest?
Will you help the Dwarves to safely reach Erebor?
Will you side with your Elf kin and do what it takes to protect your own people?
Or perhaps you are from the world of Men,
seeking to find out what this new dark power is disturbing your people?
Your adventure is up to you!
