he needed coffee or some sleep. though the latter was not an option at the moment. he had a free period right now and he knew if he took a nap, that he wouldn't wake up in time to go to class. hell he wouldn't wake up period. he's sleep the whole day. it was the way his body worked. taking the hours of sleep that it missed. of course it was not his body's fault for the lack of sleep. he had forgotten about an essay he had to write for charms. at least it wasn't that long of an essay. to be honest he couldn't remember what his paper had been about. all he remembers was that he managed to finish his essay before breakfast. he went off to class and then turned in his paper in his charms class. he might of fallen asleep. half way through the class he managed to stay awake. at least they were just going over what they had last lesson. it would of killed him if they were studying something new. he left class glad that it was his free period. he felt like he was going to fall asleep was he had walked up towards the lupus common room. he walked into the common room hand raised as he covered his mouth, a yawn escaping his lips. he settled for the nearest couch and plopped down. he kicked his feet up on the opposite arm rest and sighed softly before closing his eyes."i need coffee."he muttered to himself.

Rosalie had, over the years, had a few conversations with that of Rian Stone. She would consider them to be friends for the most part. There were, of course, days when she would completely ignore him, but, honestly, there were days when she completely ignored everyone. It was for their own good and for her own sanity. Today, however, was not one of those days. All through Charms, she had watched him teeter on the verge of falling asleep. He really just needed to take a nap right then and there- either that, or consume a vast amount of caffinine. She really wondered why he was so tired.
Since they each had a free period afterwards, she decided to be a good person and she went down to the kitchens to grab a cup of coffee for him- also a hot chocolate for herself. She even had the house elves make them pretty for them. If he didn't want it, she would just have a coffee to either drink or give to someone else; not exactly a huge loss.
Eventually, she found him in the common room sitting on the couch. She had walked into the room just in time to hear him say that he needed coffee. It was his lucky day then. Rosalie walked over and sat down next to him, "As you wish, sir." She said, holding the mug out in front of him. "I thought you looked extra tired in Charms today... you know, you could just take a nap, instead?" She smiled, and took a drink from her cocoa.

his blinking started to slow down. he was falling asleep, but he knew it was dangerous to fall asleep down here. you didn't know who could be lurking in the shadows. okay maybe he was exaggerating but it was true, the number one rule was not to fall asleep in the common room. a poor soul had broken that rule and ended up with an ink mustache that didn't come off for a week. yes even the ravens knew how to have fun. well most of them to say the least. a yawn escaped his throat as he tried to stay awake. maybe reading a book wasn't the best idea to keep him awake, even if it was his favorite. he cursed that charms essay he had to do. why had he have to go and forget to do it. he tried not to think about it as he leaned back rested his head on the couch. his eyes closed only after peering around the room. he wasn't going to risk it. any second now he would be asleep. he really needed to get up and go to his room. at least. he had muttered a desire for coffee and it seemed like someone had answered his wish as he heard footsteps coming closer. he grinned at rosalie. they were what you called good friends. they had known each other for a couple of years, but they were not really all that close."thank you...how did you know. or is my sleep deprivation that noticeable."he said with a small yawn as he gladly took the cup of coffee from her hands. he took that charms comment as a yes."nap, to dangerous, i might end up falling asleep and not waking up for my last class."he told her as he took another drink.

"You're very welcome," She said with a small nod over to him. She had her nice days- today just happened to be one of them. A short laugh escaped her lips after she swallowed another sip of cocoa. "It was pretty noticeable." Rosalie told him. She had those days sometimes. And boy, did she hate them. Falling asleep in class was one of the worst things in her opinion- however, she was fairly caffeinated most of the time, so it wasn't too often and occurrence for her.
"You have a point- it can be risky." She replied with another nod, "On the other hand, it can also be very rewarding... if you wake up on time." She knew that it was very easy to fall asleep and just stay that way. She had done it a few times herself over the years she spent at Hogwarts. She hoped that by now her professors knew that she wasn't one to skip a class on purpose. If she wasn't there, she was deathly ill or just didn't wake up on time, Either way, it didn't happen all that often and she always got the homework assignments as soon as she could... and apologized more than was probably necessary.
"So why are you so tired?" She asked curiously, "Have a late night?" There was always the off chance that he just couldn't sleep, but it was the only thing that came to her mind and she didn't want to just walk away from him. She could be talkative sometimes, too.

he had thanked her for the coffee which he knew was not something she might do for just anyone. he felt special in a joking kind of way, of course he wasn't going to tell her that. after taking a sip of the hot caffeinated liquid he stuck his tongue out."some of us like to leave things at the last minute alright. no need to be jealous."he said trying to act serious as he took another drink. he really didn't know he managed to stay awake in charms class. he found it a bit dull but not as boring as history of magic. now the mystery of how he manages to stay awake in that class has him baffled. he grinned at her when she agreed with what he was saying."okay that is true, but most of us don't have that luck. or the experience to be waking up right on time. doing that once a day is bad enough."he said joking as he talked about having to wake up early in the morning just to catch breakfast. if you didn't get there on time the good stuff would be gone. it was like eating with a bunch of piranhas. don't waste your time thinking about what you are going to get, just get it before its gone. he raised the cup to his lips and moved them away after taking a drink while she asked him why he was so tired."wouldn't you like to now."he said a playful smirk appearing on his face. it was a couple of seconds before he laughed at his own joke."actually i forgot to finish my essay for charms and i don't like charms so i always work on homework that i don't like last. then again i don't like homework so that's besides the point."he chuckled. rian was honestly a good student he just needed to apply himself more, time was something that always came back to kick his butt.
