Play-By: Cher Lloyd
Hair Shade: Lia has long dark brown hair.
Hair Style: It is naturally wavy but from time to time, she magically persuades her hair to fall flat upon her shoulders. The length of it changes upon her mood, as it can grown back rather quickly and she isn't to worried about the look of it. During classes however, she keeps it up into a high bun to keep it out of her face so she can concentrate.
Eye Color: Lia has dark gray eyes that are often confused as dark brown. She loves the mystery behind them and enjoys when people mistake them for the wrong color.
Build: Lia is a very slender body type with long legs and arms. She doesn't have a lot of meat on her bones, as her mother says, but she is quite proud of the way she looks. She also has a high metabolism, which a lot of girls envy, meaning she can eat anything she wants and no gain much. Lia is 5 foot 2 and weighs about 120 lbs or for other cultures she is: 157.48 centimeters and 8.57143 stone.
Dressing Style: Lia was raised with a mother who has to look perfect all the time; even to go into the garden. So naturally, Lia is the same way. To a degree. She doesn't wear make up as often as her mother would want her to, but if she does then she wears eyeliner and mascara just to highlight her eyes. Also, a bright lipstick is always nice to grab the attention of male students...or teachers. Lia is very up to date with muggle fashion and when not wearing her school robes, she is sporting her muggle wear. It can vary from bright colors to pastels. Whatever she is in the mood for. However, during the summer she only wears shorts and a light tee shirt or tank top to snag that tan. She rarely wears dresses, so when she does, it's for an important occasion.

Overall Personality: Lia isn't what she seems. On the outside, Lia can come off as cold or feisty but underneath it all, she is a sensitive creature. She is bound by her mother's over shadowing fame and strides to be someone that her mother could never be. She can't help but be who she is though and that's obsessed with her hair. Something her vain mother would be proud of her for. Lia doesn't truly like herself though. Not the inside at least. She feels as though she is an ugly person and although she hates it, she hasn't found the strength yet to change it.
Lia is very observant and witty. She doesn't care how her words effect people, although she does notice their reaction. She can see just about anything going on around her and is rarely scatter brained. She is only if she stressed, which can cause her to become fussy and snappy with anyone. One thing that can make her extremely stressed is candy withdrawals. She normally has a stash of candy under her bed that she will threaten anyone who tries to get into. If the stash is gone, she will become a really mean person until she gets more. She also doesn't like muggles or anything to do with muggles. She can't help it. She finds herself not having the patience for them, making her get annoyed with them easily.
Although Lia loves her mom out of obligation, she doesn't like her as a person. She is too into herself and her self image to really care about Lia. Of course, Lia is spoiled and gets whatever she desires, or doesn't. But things are only things. Lia disapproves of how Lia was conceived, through a staging of romance to just get a child out of it --and as the result she is fatherless. It's her worst memory, finding out that how abnormal it is to not have a father --that hasn't died.
Commonly in everyone just about, Lia chews her lips when nervous or stressed. She twirls a lock of hair when bored and braids the lock when tired. When stressed, she runs her hands through her hair repeatedly. Although she does have friends, she can be found alone more often than not. She enjoys the freedom from judgement and harassment to just be calm and collected. For the most part at least. Lia is afraid of lizards. Strange, but it's true. Also, she fears drowning, causing her to never swim too far out in the ocean or a lake.
Lia is overconfident and ambitious in everything she does or works on. She can be jealous at times and that can cause her to become snippy in her own way. She has a short temper that she inherited from her father, is what her mother says, and she can grow impatient with anything. She is obsessed with junkie food that can cause other people to become overweight. She adores her hair and often messes with it. However, underneath all her quirks and demises, she is just a girl trying to fit in with the world of today.

Father: Peter Smith (Muggle) 40 years old. Unknown of where his whereabouts are located.
Mother: Polia Waissel (Mixed Blood) 36 years old. Is full guardian of Lia and works at Witch Weekly for an Advice Column for Young Women.
Siblings: None
Others: None
Birth Place: London, UK
Current Residence: London, UK
Overall History: Polia was a young woman of 20 when she began to feel the absolute need of becoming a mother. However, she was never one to settle down with anyone: male or female. And she didn't want anyone in the Wizarding World to become infatuated with her so she chose to pick a random handsome muggle man to attract. The sparks flew instantly on both sides and shorter than 2 weeks later, Polia was pregnant. Sending Peter off with his heart in his hands and an unknowing of her being pregnant or a witch, Polia gave birth to a bright baby girl nine months later in St. Mungo's. It was a complete plan gone very well. Naming her daughter Lia Waissel after herself, she decided to not give her a middle name because it was too common to give one. She wanted Lia to become someone. Someone who would make everyone's hearts fall in love with her. As the baby grew, so did Polia's career in journalism and she became famous when she took the job as the Advice Columnist for Witch Weekly. It was something she was good at. Answering questions about love and motherhood.
However, as Lia grew older, Polia began to find out that Lia wasn't anything like herself, no matter how hard she tried. Lia was her own person. And rather than getting angry at the disappointment, Polia was fascinated to watch her daughter grow up. Showing signs of magic at a small age, Polia knew that her daughter would be going to school at Hogwarts, where she herself went during her teens. She had been sorted into Slytherin and was incredibly proud of her daughter for being sorted accordingly. During Lia's first year at Hogwarts, she began to become her own person even more. She decided she loved Quidditch and watching male students fly about on broomsticks. She learned quite a lot in her classes and began to really understand the world she had been born into.
However, as she grew closer to females in her house, she realized that she had something uncommon with them. And it wasn't the fact that her mother was a famous advice columnist. It was because she didn't have a father. Of course she wasn't ignorant to the fact that in order for her to be living she would have needed a father. But the sad part was that she didn't know him. Disturbed by the idea that the other girls had something that she didn't, made Lia question her mother the next time she saw her in person. Polia informed her of the situations if it was no big deal, however Lia took it hard. She barely spoke to her mother even when Polia had intruded into her bedroom to cop an attitude with her. And that was the day that Lia realized she didn't want to be anything like her mother. Her mother was vain, an alcoholic of sorts, and didn't care about anyone's feelings but her own.
The next couple of years went on without a whole lot going on. Lia became addicted to Honeydukes during her 3rd year and had a bag of candy under her bed at all times --yelling at anyone with a threat if they stole any. Always eying males from afar, her friends dared her to start dating them, and so Lia did. Finding herself enjoying the attention, it didn't cross her mind that she was behaving just like her mother until she turned 15.
That was when she started to fill out in her feminine spots and received her first bra. Her mother had bought it for her, making sure that they matched with the appropriate underwear, and practically through a party about it. It was embarrassing, but Lia was satisfied with how she looked officially. She began to wear less layers and enjoyed the sun more, giving her the tan that she went to school with. If males were looking at her before, it was then that it became a lot more obvious. Encouraging the males, Lia's friends gave her a talking to, letting her know she was acting vain. The word "vain" got under skin and right to her heart, causing her to not be able to breathe properly. Lia was not like her mother. She didn't want to be. Not in any way, shape or form. And so she stopped dating all together for the remainder of the year and when males would approach her, they would know that she was off limits. She was also called a tease, much to her glory.
Lia is now 16 years old and is in her 6th year, and although she remains dateless, she has agreed to not cut herself off completely from males. She just will only give herself to someone who deserves it. Her mother has been drinking more lately, and Lia isn't sure why. However, she has gained a girlfriend and is often spending time with her up in her bedroom. Lia is quite glad to be at school once more, however, she is beginning to blossom into her own person once more.
